What You’ll Do

• Assist with food preparation and assembly, including appetizers and pizza
• Assemble and present food according to Poverty Knob standards
• Verify order accuracy and completeness before delivery
• Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guest tables efficiently
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service during food delivery
• Communicate and coordinate with kitchen staff to maintain smooth service flow
• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen support areas, service stations, and dining spaces
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and handling guidelines

Poverty Knob Farmhouse Ales is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Cook to support our back-of-house operations. This role is essential to delivering high-quality food in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. Kitchen Cooks may rotate between several back-of-house functions, including Grill Cook, Fry Cook, Expeditor, and BOH Prep, supporting smooth kitchen flow and consistent food quality during service.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare, cook, and assemble menu items across multiple stations (grill, fryer, and prep)
• Perform prep work such as chopping, slicing, portioning, marinating, and stocking
• Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely, including grills, flat tops, and fryers
• Follow recipes, portion standards, and ticket times to support efficient service
• Ensure food is prepared, assembled, and presented according to Poverty Knob standards
• Label, date, rotate, and store food items using FIFO practices
• Coordinate with other kitchen staff and expediters to ensure timely order completion
• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations and work areas
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times

Poverty Knob Farmhouse Ales is looking for a friendly, reliable Bartender to join our taproom team! This role is all about creating a welcoming, enjoyable experience for every guest—serving great beer, sharing knowledge about our offerings, and keeping the taproom running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

• Pour and serve beer and other beverages accurately and consistently
• Engage with guests and provide an inviting, memorable taproom experience
• Educate customers on beer styles, flavor profiles, ingredients, and new releases
• Promote food specials, upcoming events, and brewery updates
• Monitor alcohol consumption and serve responsibly in accordance with RAMP guidelines and Pennsylvania state law
• Operate the point-of-sale system and handle cash and card transactions
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and taproom
• Change kegs as needed
• Complete opening and closing duties accurately
• Communicate clearly with teammates and supervisors throughout each shift

• Must be 21 years of age or older
