Nonprofit Night: Grape City Smashers
Help us raise money for local nonprofit Grape City Smashers Wednesday, March 12th from 5-8PM! For every draft poured, we will donate $1 as well as ALL CASH TIPS. Please come out and support a great local nonprofit with us!
About the organization:
Our organization is a youth travel baseball organization, Grape City Smashers. We have teams from the ages of 8u (8 & under) up to 13u. We strive to ensure every kid who wants to play baseball at a more competitive level has the opportunity to do so, without the financial burden of travel sports. Our teams practice year round which develops players into not only great baseball players but also great kids who have the benefits that come along with playing sports, being on a team, and learning that effort brings accomplishments. We are based in North East but have players from all over Erie and Crawford counties such as Erie, Harborcreek, Wattsburg, North East, Union City, Waterford, and Titusville. We travel to a handful out of state baseball tournaments as well as compete in local tournaments and have 3 tournaments hosted in North East. Our fundraising efforts help towards dues for those who need, help bring equipment to the kids that need new items, help pay for uniforms which the kids keep, and other operating expenses such as winter facilities, insurance, baseballs, umpire fees, et cetera. We would love to host a charity night at Poverty Knob. Our fundraising committee believes it is the perfect location with the radius of players we have and what travel baseball parents do best is enjoy an adult beverage at the end of a long day.
